I began the day on page 173 of the new book and am ending this evening on page 191 and could not be more excited! My goal was to write this book within 30 days. I was inspired to set that goal because my good friend, Author/Speaker – Nicole Zeien-Cox wrote her bestselling ‘Foster To Fosters’ in one month. Now, with only a few sections remaining, I have no doubt that I will meet my goal and begin working on the cover with an amazing photo provided by renown surgeon and photographer, Dr. Gage Caudell!
With the holidays this week, I was able to spend time with my kids today and am sad to report that after four games of SORRY, I again came up with no ‘W’ in my column. Oh well!
I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! It is my favorite holiday of the year!
I enjoy having my family together, not for gifts but for a meal around the table with stories and laughter, giving thanks for another year with everyone here. My kids love the homemade noodles and I found the turkey, mashed potatoes and homemade rolls the best of any year before! Ok, I like the noodles too! With five desserts to choose from, if you walked away from our family dinner hungry, it was your fault!
After a great time with family, I dropped my kids off so they could go and be with other family for dinner. I changed and went out to the state park for a run to keep with my routine and burn off those noodles! I returned home and hammered out pages 166 – 173 of the new book. With just a YouTube video to shoot I will have everything done that I had set my goal for!
After that video, I will do something I have not done in a while, I will continue to observe my favorite holiday by relaxing and being thankful for this day. I don’t relax much, always writing, speaking, parenting, working from dawn to way past dusk but I think this holiday is about being thankful and I am thankful for the body that puts in the work day in and day out and for that, rest is in order for the rest of the night!
May you have a very Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours!
All I can say is that I had an amazing weekend with my children! One of the things we love to do is get out a game of SORRY, lay down on the living room floor and have fun. I admit that I am seldom the winner of SORRY but today, I can claim victory for one game!
My sons had to be with their mother this afternoon for an early Thanksgiving with that side of their family, therefore, they went home at one o’clock and I quickly took out my trash, swept the floors and did the dishes before sitting down to work on the new book.
I am thrilled to be able to add pages 133 – 150 into the ‘completed’ list as I move closer to reaching into the third stage of the book which is the tools for success that I have learned.
This has been an incredible weekend and I hope yours has been as well. I wish nothing for you but a safe and fulfilling beginning to the holiday week and hope you find ways to be thankful leading up to Thanksgiving! All my best!
Craziness is in full swing at 1 Imaginary Fox and I have no excuse for letting that come between it and posting updates!
The new book is now up to page 126, 17 days after beginning it. I have never written a book so quickly before and look forward to impacting others when it is released after New Years!
It will be broken into three ‘Stages’ with each stage having it’s own chapters. The first stage will cover my trials and setbacks on the road to success. Stage Two will cover the success that I have earned through the hard work and perseverance of Stage One. The third stage will go over the fundamentals of my personal ‘Go 2 Grow’ strategy and will give tools and resources to help empower anyone through their own tests in life.
I’m off to work but and going to get home in 8 hours and work on completing pages 127 -130. Have a great day and may blessings find you!
It has been a while since writing last and I apologize. It has been a crazy month so far!
I just completed my 36th episode of ‘Write To Success’ (WTS) on my YouTube channel which now consists of over 120 videos that I hope encourage others to reach out and go for what they want in their lives.
I’ve also traveled to Charleston, Illinois and attended an memorial dinner for my aunt who past away to cancer a couple of weeks ago. My children and I drove with my mother and the fall scene that surrounded the two lane highway was beautiful and set the tone for our trip. Even getting lost on the way home was exciting and enjoyable. It could nt have been a better evening.
Tonight, my newest column article drops and will be out in the Sumner (IL.) Press newspaper. This weeks title is about letting go.
I also discovered that Barney & Lexi are now available online through Walmart. If you don’t have a copy, run over to Walmart.com and pick up your copy today! Thanks ahead for doing that!
As for my biography, I am writing faster than I have in my fourteen year career. In just over a week and half, I am now working on page 90 and not half way through the book yet. My goal is for a completion date during this month and to be able to have it in print by Christmas!
I also have many more mailers out to elementary school and have my first reply about coming out for a visit! More on that as it develops!
The t-shirt designs are moving along and will be available by 2018!
Lol, my Jimmy is down again and makes me begin thinking that 2018 may see the time come for a new vehicle. The farther I drive for presentations, the more dependable vehicle I am needing.
Thank you so much for reading and following since 2009! It means the world and I am excited as this is all about to blow wide open! Have a wonderful day everyone!
