What a day Saturday was! The booksigning at Barnes & Noble was amazing and I met some wonderful people!
One great thing about being an author is the opportunity to have family with you when they are able to travel with you! Today, my boys went with their mother and step-father to Chicago for the weekend and my mother and brother traveled to Evansville, Indiana with me!
We arrived and found wonderful readers waiting before hand! After a quick set up, I got right onto signing and speaking with people. I can not begin to tell you just how fast two hours went, it felt like fifteen minutes!
With no advertising, we send a dozen copies of Barney & Lexi: Lost In Lawrenceville, home with some super cool readers! After the signing concluded, we ate at an amazing Italian restaurant called ‘Little Italy’, took in a game of miniature golf across the street and finished the day on the river walk before making the return trip home.
All and all, just a super great day to do this thing called ‘writing’! I was so glad family was able to travel with me this weekend. Now, being Mother’s Day, I am surprising my mother with a visit to a local philharmonic orchestra. A very Happy Mother’s Day to every mother in the world!!
